There is no doubt about it, it is difficult, BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE, to quit smoking.

And, the benefits are immediate:

A savings of $150.00 or more each month that you used to spend on cigarettes, which is enough to meet monthly payments on a dishwasher AND a nice stereo! (One man testified that he had bought his brand new Corvette which he could not have afforded while smoking!)

There are several methods of dealing with the smoking addiction.

One is to deny there is a problem. The old: "I can quit anytime I want to, I've already quit a thousand times!" routine. Choose this one, and the $150.00 savings mentioned above continues to go up in smoke. Remember that the next time you explain to yourself or to someone else why you can't afford a desire of the heart.

Another method of dealing with the smoking addiction is to try the over-the-counter drug remedies, or perhaps substituting nicotine addiction with another addiction. But the over the counter solution costs about $500 a month, and, according to the National Institute of Health, is only 40% effective, which means that it fails 60% of the time.

The best way is to realize that, with smoking, there are three addictions, not one, that must be faced and broken.

ADDICTION #1 - The first addiction that must be faced and broken, is the chemical dependency on nicotine. It is more addicting than heroin, and the withdrawal time is longer. Dealing openly and effectively with that withdrawal, and its symptoms and side effects is critical in any successful smoking cessation program.

ADDICTION #2 - The second addiction is the addiction to personal habits that enable smoking dependency. Those personally developed cues that "Its time for a cigarette". Times, such as after a good, relaxing meal, when it's "time to light up." What now? For successful smoking cessation, alternative activities and cues must be developed.

ADDICTION #3 - The Third addiction is the addiction to the praise and peer acceptance that comes from smoking activity. The "I'll walk a mile for a Camel", or the "Marlboro Man", or the "Virginia Slim's You've Made It Baby!" aura that needs to be inwardly re-educated to discover lasting self worth based on who you are, not what a media advertising consultant says you should be.

AT STOP SMOKING - Guaranteed! we can help!

We can help. Our experience has shown us how to deal effectively with each of the three addictions that accompany nicotine addiction, through any smoking or non-smoking tobacco product.

But you must take that first step. We use a multi-faceted approach to smoking cessation. We educate our clients on choices and options that are available to them. We discuss the addictive personality to help our clients avoid simply substituting one addiction for another. We share time-proven methods of behavioral modification which provides the best opportunity for breaking a habit that many have found unable to break on their own, and we do it with strategies designed to lesson the physical and mental effects of nicotine addiction. We help our clients discover activities which will help them avoid the "nearness to temptation", as well as activities that will help lesson the immediate and habitual craving associated with nicotine addiction. We help our clients learn to manage stress in their lives that might have led to tobacco addiction in the first place, and to manage the stress often associated with smoking cessation.
